Cleaning of fine fabrics requires specialized knowledge of the many different materials used in drapery. The 416-SO-CLEAN Deep DetoxClean process begins with identification of the fabric type, followed by an inspection to determine the actual dye on the fabric.
If the fabric is non colourfast or a type of fabric that is natural and sensitive to moisture, we recommend dry clean option. This will guarantee no shrinkage, no damage and no loss of sizing, resins or flame retardant.
Otherwise, we recommend low-moisture, hot-water extraction cleaning. This is always the option recommended for any fabric (even the delicate one) with water based spots and stains since it is the only effective option to remove these spots.
Using the wrong type of cleaning method or cleaning conditioner could easily cause damages, such as shrinkage, color transfer or color run (also known as bleeding or crocking).
Dry Cleaning Method
In the Dry Cleaning method, we apply an ECO-Dry Cleaning system that employs a GreenEarth® cleaning solution, an environmentally-friendly dry cleaning process that uses pure liquid silicone as its cleaning agent. Silicone is clear, odourless, and non toxic. When released to the environment, silicone decomposes into three natural elements: sand, trace amount of water, and carbon dioxide.
